About Us
Roy Coffee, Jr. started raising and racing pigeons with his older brother at the age of 10. A lawyer and a business man, living near Downtown Dallas, Coffee reentered the sport in 1986, and joined the "Red Oak Racing Pigeon Club". His interest was developing a family of Hofkens based pigeons that could compete in races from 100 to 600 miles.
Although winning at the Club, Combine and Concourse levels, Coffee found great opportunity to partner with Royce Bynum in 1999. Royce Bynum is one of the long time successful fanciers in the Dallas area.
In 2002, Coffee and Bynum moved their loft to Argyle, Texas, racing with the Dallas Homing Pigeon Club, then with the very competitive "Denton Invitational Racing Pigeon Club". Pineview was very successful in winning again at the club, Concourse and Federation races. Pineview also started sending birds to highly popular one loft races around the country and won the very prestigious Vegas.com Race in 2006, Texas Shoot Out 300 mile and Denton Challenge. Please see our "Accomplishments" link to view more wins.
Pineview became Crestview Loft in 2007 when they moved to "the ultimate pigeon rookery"... new loft, vista and house. Crestview Loft would earn a reputation of distinction and respect from all those interested in the racing pigeon sport.
A Note From Karen and Bob:
Karen and Bob Stubbs are the new managers of the Crestview Loft. We arrived here June of 2011, believing God has led us here, since everything worked out in such a short amount of time. We have been married for 43 years, we have six adult children (four daughters and two sons). We have fifteen grandchildren and two great grandsons. Bob's passion is Racing Pigeons and Karen's is growing a garden and flowers and is now a Master Gardener. Bob's dream has been fulfilled and so has Karen's. We work together at both and have a wonderful church family, so everything works out well.
Bob got his first pigeons when he was 15 and raced in the Williamette Racing Pigeon Club as a junior member and then after 1984, for a total of twenty years. We has a One Loft Race, The Beaver State Breeders Cup, for four years. Bob is now racing in the Denton Invitational RPC, which is a member of the North Texas Concourse and Lone Star Federation. We are enjoying this new time in our lives and look forward to what is to come.
Your friends in pigeons,
Karen and Bob
