The Loft
Crestview Loft is amazingly over 2000 sq. feet under one roof and has four functioning levels:
Level 1. Cement drive with 10 ft overhead doors and openers.
Level 2. Loft floor with 16 individual breeding compartments, 32 open nest, 2 4x8x7 fly pens, 3 large sections for old birds, 4 sections for young birds, 4x8 section for our extra breeding hens, feed room with all necessities, and a office with our breeding board, microscope, lap top, printer, ac and heat and much more. I can't forget about the automatic waters throughout the loft.
Level 3. Storage area 8x32 with a balcony, built on the west end.
Level 4. The look-out. I call it the pigeon nest. You are over 30 feet in the air and can see for miles and miles. Standing 10 ft. up is a strobe light.
This loft has no wire on the inside. It is all wooden louvers and dowels and has many, many more extras.

Crestview house has 2000 sq. ft. living space with parking in the front. There is also a beautiful patio in back and long porches in front and rear of the house. 5 ft. tall pipe fence around the 3 structures on 2 acres of the overall 7 acre lot. Asphalt driveways. |
This is called the Vista. There is a garage below where we keep the mowers, have a work shop and restroom. 2nd level is just like being at home.
Loading pen 4 X 6, it can hold 80 birds with room to spare. We have 2 of these. I can load 150 ybs in less than 5 minutes and let me quickly get on the road to unknown destinations.
Entrance to loft on east side for unloading feed or whatever the occasion.
The "Vista," we are proud of our Vista. There is a 360 degree 2nd level walk around. You can see the birds approaching the loft from far off on race day. What a thrill to watch them at a quarter mile or half mile away. The Vista, well you just need to come and see the inside for yourself. Come on a Saturday during ybs in the fall and kick back and watch a good old Texas Longhorn football game. You might think you died and went to Heaven.
West side of loft with the balcony, pigeon nest lookout and strobe light. You can surely see far off when in the pigeon nest, AND THE SUNSETS ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!!
